2. Fast at least once a week. Either by only drinking water, fruit juice, or vegetable juice. V8 juices are a good way to get the nutrients you need if you don’t like fruits or vegetables. You could also only eat fruits or vegetables. It helps your body to rest.

3. Cleanse your colon. Eating foods high in fiber will do so. You need to keep your gastrointestinal tract empty and free of waste.

4. Cleanse your liver. Eating foods that are bitter will do you justice. Fruits that have a bitter taste like lemons or grapefruit will be very beneficial to cleanse the liver as well as stop toxins from spreading to other parts of the body.

5. Take cloves or pumpkin seeds to get rid of the parasites in your body. There are also medications available that work well.

6. Exercise! Exercising raises body temperature and supply of oxygen, plus makes you sweat which releases toxins. It also keeps you in shape and healthy. It burns unnecessary calories.

7. Make sure you avoid caffeine and sugar as much as possible. Do not drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. These only add to the problem by putting toxins and other impurities into the body. If you smoke or drink alcohol, start limiting your intake/try to quit.

8. Maintain a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, protein (meats and eggs), and fiber. Follow the food pyramid and eat the suggested food portions. Also try to eat smaller meals throughout the day rather than 3 large ones. It will make you hungrier throughout the day if there is a larger gap in the times you eat, making you eat more.

6 Flatulence Causes & Foods that cause it.

Flatulence causes

There are different factors relating to the buildup of gas in our system and these can range from eating disorders to the types of foods we eat.

Here are some flatulence causes

1. Indigestion Food not given the chance to properly digest will cause a buildup of gas in the stomach.

· Digestion starts in the mouth and food needs to be properly masticated before it reaches the stomach.

· You should also make sure you drink water after a meal as this will help to soften the food to break it down much easier.

· Wait at least 2 – 3 hours after eating before you lay down

· Never eat too fast

· Don’t eat too slow

· Rule of thumb and table etiquette requires that you DO NOT sip during bites as this allows air to be ingested while you eat.

2. Undercooked food – Bean and peas. Undercooked foods especially beans and peas can give off quite some steam! Make sure they are properly cooked before consuming. Not only are undercooked beans and peas gaseous but toxic too. There are have been incidents of toxicity due to the consumption of the foods when undercooked

3. Some types of foods – some types of foods are especially known to cause excessive gas and bloating. Some of these foods are:

· Peas and beans

· Broccoli, cauliflower

· Potatoes

· Pasta and other starchy foods

· Onions, peppers and garlic

· Prune juice

· Soda and gum

· Wheat and oats

· Bananas

· peaches, apricots, pears, and apples

· celery, artichokes and asparagus

4. Waiting too long to eat

5. Ingesting air through the nose and mouth

Foul Smelling Gas

Occasional foul smelling gas is not so bad and is usually caused from the foods we eat. Some of these foods might be egg yolks, red meats, dairy products. This smell comes from undigested foods that were left in the bowels and have started to rot. In most cases the stool from these foods will also smell bad too.

But continual foul smelling gas is a sure sign of a digestive and bowel disorder. If you are not digesting your food properly then it is going to rot inside you and you will always have that smelly gas coming out. A digestive and bowel disorder needs to be treated.

A study in the United Kingdom shows that people who eat more vegetables than meat are less likely to develop a digestive or bowel disorder. More fiber and roughage in the diet will cleanse the digestive tract and prevent the fermentation of other foods such as meats and starches as these are usually the main culprits in smelly gas.
